Support Shelter Pets and Local Art: Mary Jane Martin Exhibit at PMHS
Pope Memorial Humane Society is excited to share the latest exhibition on the Art Wall in our shelter lobby, featuring the vibrant and whimsical work of local artist Mary Jane Martin. On display now through mid-July, Mary Jane’s pieces are also available for purchase, with a portion of proceeds supporting the animals of PMHS.
A Rockland resident for over 20 years, Mary Jane is a familiar face in the community, balancing her time between painting, poetry, her beloved dog, and her role at the Rockland Public Library. A lifelong lover of cats and dogs, she brings that affection and joy into every piece she creates.
Her exhibition features an eclectic blend of acrylics, watercolors, pencil drawings, photography, and poetry. Mary Jane’s work is playful, colorful, and accessible. She believes in keeping things simple, both in her art and in life. Through a mix of humor and heart, she hopes her art brings a smile to your face and perhaps even a piece home with you.
Visitors are encouraged to stop by Pope Memorial Humane Society Monday through Saturday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to view the exhibition, meet adoptable animals, and enjoy the creativity of this local artist.
