Pope Memorial Humane Society Celebrates 100 December Adoptions
December at Pope Memorial Humane Society happened in the space between the holidays. It was Holiday Pet Tree tags disappearing almost as fast as they’re hung, donations delivered and placed under the tree, adoption visits squeezed in between travel plans, and animals still arriving even when the calendar felt full. It’s busy, it’s a lot, and the work doesn’t pause.
And in the middle of all that, 100 animals were adopted through PMHS in December!!
These adoptions happened because people showed up. Staff and volunteers kept the shelter moving day after day. Adopters chose to say yes during one of the busiest months of the year.
January 1 doesn’t reset the work, but it does give us a moment to celebrate. 100 animals found their families. As you scroll through these go-home photos, we hope you feel the same pride, gratitude, and excitement for what comes next!
Thank you to our incredible community for being a vital part of this work and for helping carry it into the new year. We’re starting it off strong, and we’re ready to keep going. Now, Happy New Year!!!
