Pre-Registration Now Open for PMHS Low-Cost Rabies Vaccination Clinic
It’s that time of the year. It’s time to license your dogs!
Per Maine state law, all dogs must be licensed at 6 months of age in the town where they reside, or after the dog has been with the family for 10 days, if adopted. To license/register your dog, you must provide proof that your dog is up to date on its rabies vaccination. To avoid a $25 late fee, dogs must be licensed with your town by January 31st.
To make things easier, Pope Memorial Humane Society is hosting a Low-Cost Rabies Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 11 am to 1 pm. Rabies vaccinations will be $15 per animal, and there are no income requirements. Everyone is welcome.
Pre-registration is officially open. Pre-registering makes things smoother for everyone and helps you get in and out much faster. Trust us, you don’t want to spend time filling out forms on clinic day!
If you have proof of a prior up-to-date rabies vaccine, please bring your certificate with you. It helps us keep the process moving, so this is your reminder to start looking for that paperwork now.
We are thankful to Dr. Mimi Moore for volunteering her time to administer the vaccines and help keep local pets protected.
